Privacy

This page explains what information BabyNames collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It applies to the BabyNames experience published by Mind Code Apps.

The policy is written to match the current product behavior: Google sign-in, basic account storage, saved favorites, and requests sent to our backend to generate baby names.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to sign you in and run the app:

  • Name, email address, and profile photo from Google sign-in.
  • Google ID tokens used for authentication.
  • Baby name filters and search inputs you submit in the app.
  • Favorites and basic account state stored on your device.

2. How We Use Information

We use that information to:

  • Create and manage your signed-in session.
  • Show baby name results based on your filters.
  • Save favorites and restore them on the device.
  • Sync account data with the backend when you sign in.

3. Storage and Processing

The app stores some data locally on your device and sends request data to the Mind Code Apps backend when you use the service. The app also relies on Google services for sign-in and Firebase-based authentication.

4. Sharing

We share data only as needed to operate the service, including with:

  • Google, for sign-in and authentication.
  • Firebase, for authentication infrastructure.
  • Our backend and hosting providers, to process your requests.

5. Your Choices

You can:

  • Sign out of the app at any time.
  • Clear app storage on your device.
  • Stop using the app if you no longer want data processed.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if the app changes or if we need to clarify how data is handled. The latest version will always live on this page.
